The best strategy to follow when playing roulette is to ensure that the player is having fun and are betting within their means. To make sure that the betting does not get out of hand, it is a good idea to maintain a daily maximum amount to wager and when the funds dip below that amount, to stop betting. Apart from this, most other strategies are based on the kind of bets to place and the amount of the bet.

Martingale Roulette Strategy

The most popular betting strategy is called the Martingale Strategy. According to this strategy, the player places a minimum bet. Depending on the outcome of the wager the next bet is determined. If the player loses, then the next bet will be worth double that of the previous bet. If the player wins the bet, then the amount remains the same. In this way, it is possible to ensure that whenever the player wins a bet, the payout will neutralize all losses and ensure a profit that is worth the amount of the first bet placed. In a similar vein, players often follow the Fibonacci series to determine their subsequent bet. In this series, every third bet is worth the sum of the previous two.

Labouchere Roulette Strategy

Other strategies include the Labouchere System, where the player figures out a series of numbers, which is written down. Whenever the player loses a bet, he/she writes the amount of the bet on one end of the line and when there is a win, the number is written at the beginning of the line. Whichever line is longer, the player follows it when there is a loss and the shorter line when there is a win.
The final important strategy that players use while playing roulette does not depend on the amount of the wager. Instead, the player places wagers on the first and third column, each worth two chips of some denomination. Then he/she places a third bet of the same amount on the “Black”. By doing this, there are only six numbers that are left uncovered, four reds and the 0 and 00. This means that the player will have a higher chance of winning.
